LIBERIA: As Election Draws Near, Senator Nagbe Names Pro-Temp Campaign Team

A candidate for the Senate Pro-Tempore elections has named eight senators as members of his campaign team for the February 12 polls.
Aspirant Joseph Nagbe of Sinoe County selected Senators Daniel Naathan and Jewel Howard Taylor of Gbarpolu and Bong counties as Chairman and Co-Chairperson respectively of the team.
Sources close to the aspirant disclosed that he also named Senators J.Milton Teahjay as secretary and spokesman; Francis Paye and Albert Chie of Rivercess and Grand Kru counties as Strategists for the campaign.
Senators Gbleh-bo Brown and Alphonso Gaye of Maryland and Grand Gedeh counties respectively will serve as strategists and River Gee Senator Commany Wesseh as advisor.
It can be recalled that on February 5, the Senate announced the holding of the election for the post of President Pro-Tempore on February 12, with three senators in the race.
The senators are Joseph Nagbe, Armah Jallah and Oscar Cooper of Sinoe, Gbarpolu and Margibi counties respectively.
The vacancy was created as a result of the December 20, 2014 Mid-term Senatorial Election that saw the defeat of former President Pro-Tempore Gbehzongar Findley of Grand Bassa County.
