A citizen of Grand Bassa County, Togar Alexander Bealded is calling for a full fledged investigation into an incident that erupted in the Liberian Agricultural Company (LAC) concession area, which led to the death of one person and seventeen others lying almost lifeless.
In a statement, Mr. Bealded said the incident has created trauma and shook for well meaning Bassonians amongst others and troubling for a nation still nursing the distress of the deadly EBOLA virus.
He called on the Bassa Legislative Caucus and other stakeholders from the County to act swiftly to save the life of the other victims.
The Buchanan Dist#3 2017 aspirant is at the same time calling on Legislators to pass the DECENT WORK BILL which amongst other things will ensure the proper welfare for workers nationwide; this document has been languishing up Capitol hill for years, the release said.
He is at the same time calling on humanitarian organizations to come to the aid of the workers victimized by the heavy explosion.
The youthful aspirant is calling on the management of LAC to ensure that some victims are flown out of the country due to the severity of the burn and that the family of the dead be well compensated according to existing laws for workers.
