The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Wednesday donated 150 FM radios to the New Georgia Signboard Community in the Monrovia suburb of Gardnersville.
Making the donation at the Christ Kingdom Harvest Church, the Country Director of UNDP, Kamil Kamaluddeen, said the radios are to inform community dwellers about the new “Ebola must go” campaign launched by President Sirleaf recently.
“What Liberians need now is good spirit and information in eradicating the Ebola virus out of the country,” he pointed out.
Kamaluddeen cautioned the community dwellers and Liberians across the country to work together to defeat Ebola, adding, “When we stand together, work together we can surely defeat Ebola.”
Meanwhile, the Deputy Minister of Information for Technical Services, Robert Kpadeh, has reaffirmed government’s commitment in the fight against the Ebola virus.
He said all Liberians have to rise to the President’s call in the “Ebola Must Go” campaign to ensure that the virus is eradicated by the end of 2014.
