In its bid to provide relief items to those who are being attacked by the deadly Ebola virus and placed at various Ebola Treatment centers in Monrovia and its environs, More Than Me yesterday distributed several thousand dollars of relief items to three Ebola Treatment Units (ETUs).
The distribution team, headed by the Chief Executive Officer of More Than Me, Madam Katie Meyler, accompanied by the head of the social work team, Ms. Krubo Kowah, distributed three bills of clothing, nine dozens of slippers for both adults and children, and forty-five cartons of juice. Island Clinic, ELWA, and the MoD2 benefited from yesterday’s More Than Me relief gesture.
Making the presentation to authorities at the various ETUs, More Than Me officials reminded recipients of the items to use them wisely, and promised to do more in the future.
Receiving the items at the various ETUs, the recipients speaking through their respective spokespersons, thanked More Than Me for its kind gesture by coming to their rescue, and prayed that this American NGO continue its humanitarian services to the people of Liberia.
In a related development, a team from More Than Me visited several clinics in Monrovia and its environs to see how best it can help in the training of nurses to be posted at these clinics, and also train pharmacists for the same purpose.
