The Government of Egypt Congratulates Liberia on 167th National Day Anniversary

A special representative from the Egyptian Presidency, Mr. Ahmed Meneisy, paid a courtesy visit on H.E. Ambassador Alexander H.N. Wallace, III of the Republic of Liberia at his residence in Cairo and conveyed a message of congratulations from H.E. President Abdel Fatal El-Sisi, the Government and people of the Arab Republic of Egypt to H.E. Madam Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, the Government and people of the Republic of Liberia on the occasion of the 167th Independence Anniversary of the Liberian Republic, on July 26, 2014.

In a brief remark, Ambassador Wallace expressed appreciation for the warm congratulatory message received from President Abdel Fatal El-Sisi and extended in return greetings and gratitude on behalf of Her Excellency President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, as well as the Government and people of the Republic of Liberia to the Government and people of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Additionally, the Ambassador congratulated President Sisi on his successful election in May 2014 as Egypt’s sixth President, while also congratulating the Government and people of Egypt for their steps towards stability during this new era in Egypt’s modern history.

Ambassador Wallace maintained that Liberia will continue to be grateful and appreciative to the Government and People of Egypt for the invaluable assistance to Liberia which includes technical, developments and capacity building. According to him, Liberia-Egypt relations are marked by mutual respect and friendly cooperation for the benefit of both nations.
