NPA’s Deputy Managing Director for Administration Mr. Nyekeh Forkpa
The National Port Authority (NPA) has donated several assorted items to the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare through FEED the Future Inc, to help combat the deadly Ebola disease in the Country.
A release form the NPA says the donation was part of the entity’s Social Cooperate Commitment to the Public especially in the wake of efforts by National government to contain the spread of the Ebola Virus.
The release quotes NPA’s Deputy Managing Director for Administration Mr. Nyekeh Forkpa as saying, that the increasing wave of disbelieve and doubts about the existence of the Ebola virus in Liberia is counterproductive to the fight against the disease.
Mr. Forkpa expressed regrets over the lost their lives as a result of the virus, and called on all on Liberians and supporting partners to join efforts to ensure the virus is eradicated from Liberia.
He said NPA under the administration of Madame Matilda Parker is committed to the fulfilment of its Social Cooperate Responsibility to the public but made specific reference to communities were port operations are taking place; adding that the ‘’ gesture portrays NPA’s compliance to Responsible Citizenship’’
Items donated by the NPA to prevent further spread the of virus include; Fifty Cell phones and Sim Cards, Eighty cartons of hand gloves, Sixty -one cartons of clorax, Sixteen cartons Aseptic, Eight cartons of Rexog Deltol, Twenty-Six cartons of liquid of Soap and Ten cartons of Face Mask.
