VOA NEWS: Ukraine’s New President Seeks End to Violence in East

KYIV, UKRAINE — Ukraine's Petro Poroshenko, sworn in as the country's new president Saturday, promised to seek unity and offered to hold peaceful dialogues to end a pro-Russian insurgency in the east. Meanwhile, Ukrainians expressed hope that he has the ability to restore order.
