LIBERIA: Protestors To Remove NPA Boss, Matilda W. Parker Are ‘Belly driven’ – Youth Groups Assert

Dozens of Liberia’s youthful population early this week publicly condemned recent action by some ‘Belly Driven’ groups of young people who are calling for the removal of the Managing Director of the National Port Authority (NPA), Madam Matilda Wokie Parker.

The youth groups in an exclusive interview with our staff today, accused certain officials in the executive branch of masterminding this plan, in order to cover the dirty deeds, and to appear that they are the only patriots in the Ellen led Government that are in the interest of the Liberian people.

The group named some of those behind the ploy to remove the NPA boss and damage her hard earned reputation as Mr. Amara Konneth, Minister of Finance, a member of the Liberian House of Representative, Edwin Melvin Snowe , and the Commissioner of the Liberia Maritime Authority, Mr. Beryan Kesselly.

Some of these protectors openly confessed on a local radio station that they were paid thousands of United States Dollars to launch this negative campaign against Madam Parker, and opting for her immediate removal by the President of Liberia as Managing Director of the NPA.

According to the groups, some of those protestors have already conceded, and have vowed to abandon their protest plan against the NPA Boss.

in reation to the protestors' call, the youth groups on a local radio station spoke of the numerous developmental initiatives being carried out by Madam Parker in empowering young people of Liberia.

Detail will follow in our subsequent posting.
