LIBERIA: CDC Launches Membership Drive In Gbarpolu County

The opposition Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) Gbarpolu County branch has launched its membership drive in the county.

At the launch Sunday, dozens of citizens, including youths who are qualified to vote in the upcoming senatorial elections, turned out and obtained their membership cards.

Speaking to the Liberia News Agency (LINA), an official of the party’s membership committee, Yonger Thomas, said the exercise was intended to encourage partisans obtain their membership cards to identify with the party.

She urged partisans to make their contributions to ensure that the party’s aspirant for the senatorial seat in the mid-term senatorial polls  in October 2014 becomes the next senator of Gbarpolu County.
