This week our pen to paper has taken us to another level in the Liberian business community, thoroughly profiling an individual who has over the years made his marks in the growth and development of the Liberian economy; providing job opportunities to hundreds of jobless Liberians.
His chain of businesses both in Liberia and abroad have overly won him lots of respect amongst his peers; his role as Chief Executive Officer of the New Millennium Oil and Gas Incorporated. The Company, a duly registered under the laws of Liberia grouped financiers and oil professionals with vast experience in the energy and finance sector for more than six decades (60 years) with modern headquarters situated in the heart of Sinkor, the suburb of Monrovia, West Africa’s oldest City was recently opened to the public for serious business.
Its corporate experience ranges from engineering, petroleum administration, project management and corporate finance in the oil fields of Taxes, global stock and commodity market, World Bank and International Monetary Fund representation to the oil fields of Nigeria.
For over 20 years now, the Company able managerial staffs headed by its CEO, Mr. Macdonald Wento have all hands on ‘know-how’ in oil and gas administration, and construction, petroleum logistic procurement and project financing.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with the GNNLIBERIA, the CEO of the Company, Mr. Wento at his modern ‘Wento Suites Plaza’ office outlined the success story of his many establishments, including the international Consultant Capital (ICC), a company with a 25 year concession.
Mr. Wento, an experience administrator served as Director for Trade with ICC in Madrid, Spain and Inforex in Italy, he also head several companies as CEO, amongst them are platinum Recovery and Investment Incorporated; a financial services firm, the Wento Foundation, the ICC and Geblo Logging companies.
He disclosed that the Foundation which is operating in three Counties including Nimba, Grand Gedeh and Montserrado Counties has over the years been providing scholarships to 150 kids.
He said his Foundation brings gospel to these kids through music, ands also help to train and educate them in becoming good leaders tomorrow, these kids whose ages ranges from four to twenty-four are providing scholarships to secure highest education.
Mr. Wento an accomplished investment banker who started currency trader for Zug in Switzerland for more than two decades (20 years) ago served in many capacities as a professional and trained business entrepreneur
is numerous businesses are graciously contributing to the growth of the Liberian economy and its human resource development through the providing of huge jop opportunities to Liberians and their foreign partners.
Speaking further to this paper, Mr. Wento named several individuals both at home as his role model; the Microsoft Giant, Bill Gates, Richard Branson, George Soro and Madam Clavinna Bright Parker who he said has hi mentors to climb the ladder of success thus reaching this far today.
